The software

Software that proposes rather than decides.

The programs behind this site may fetch data, sort it and check it. They may not publish anything. That is not a statement of intent but something fixed in the tools themselves: where a confirmation is missing they stop, rather than carrying on and hoping.

Where the automation stops

The catalogue import writes internal drafts only: it cannot publish a record, cannot link a release and cannot create an identity statement. A second run over the same data changes nothing — that is tested, not assumed.

Write access to the content database additionally requires a named confirmation and a fresh backup. If either is missing the run aborts rather than carrying on carefully. Provenance and open decisions
